Principal’s Message

Aloha Springer Parents,

March has brought us much sunshine and has sprayed the array of colors onto our school.  Let’s walk through the week:

Monday:   Morgan Bricca, the muralist introduced herself and her enthusiasm of bringing to life the wall that faces our blacktop.  She welcomed students and classes to talk to her as she worked on the mural.  Classes and students stood and watch the mural be unveiled in day one.

Tuesday and Wednesday:  Parents and students flocked to watch the mural’s details be revealed.

Today… the mural is “amazing, beautiful, creative, and detailed” are just a few of the comments the students have made.  One student in particular said “I can see the color of my shirt in the painting”… a smile spreads across the student’s face.  Other students’ say “ My favorite parts are the deers, the kids sitting and reading, the pink flowers because it reminds me we are getting close to my brother’s birthday. “ One parent  commented that “It’s a wonderful reminder to be surrounded by art and beauty.” Staff reaction…” it is incredible, just beautiful….”

Thank you PTA… the mural has brought so much joy to an already joyful school.  As I’ve looked at the mural each day captivates me.  Today’s favorite was the hawk soaring high above… to me it symbolizes the world awaits us.  Open our eyes wide and take it all in.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Lynn Boskie

Buzz…  Did you know that the first time I learned to draw was when I was twenty-six.  It only proves it is never too late to learn something new.
