Principal’s Message

IMG_5136.JPGIMG_5137.JPGIMG_3056.JPG

Dear Parents,

Fall is upon us.  We started off the week with the bee pumpkin being dropped off at the school, PTA setting up the harvest scene in the front of the office, and the walk-to-school parade leaving from Varsity Park.  There were at least a hundred students and parents walking to school with me--what a treat it was for me! The police were out in force to insure we had a safe event and they even made a special visit to the classroom.   Officer J. Guevarra visited a classroom and read a story to a group of students(see the above photo).  Thank you PTA for making this a community event that reached beyond the classroom!

Buzz…. Did you know Mrs. Boskie believes in Santa Claus!

Have a wonderful weekend,

We just hit the $1M mark, and it’s not too late to help LAEF pay for our amazing enrichment teachers and program staff for THIS school year. To learn more, pledge or donate at LAEFonline.org.

The LAEF Annual Report 2015/16 is Here

Our board of parent volunteers would like to recognize the amazing difference our community of supporters made in our classrooms last year. We are pleased to share our 2015-16 Annual Report. Check it out at LAEFonline.org, and you’ll learn more about which two newly-expanded programs received 42% of our grant, why 2,193 donors contributed, the Los Altos Art Docents’ big anniversary, and how 600 families doubled their donation. Thank you!

Join the Springer Jugglers!

The Juggling Club meets every Wednesday from 7:45 AM to 8:25 AM (about) in the multi. Anyone in grades four and above can join, any time of the year. It is free to participate. It's actually not that hard to start juggling, and should you encounter any problems, the juggling teachers can get you through the bumps on the road. It can take only one year of being in this club for you to be able to learn several techniques, and even a few fancy tricks. Once you learn how to juggle 3 balls, you can spend the last 5 to 10 minutes of the class juggling with some cool objects including Chinese yo-yos, rings, clubs... The Juggling Club is a really fun club to try, and before you know it, you'll be juggling 3-4 balls at a time.

Interested students (and parents) are encouraged to just drop in anytime.
