Walk-a-Thon sponsor cards are here!

springeropoly.png

Our  Springer-opoly Walk-a-thon is Saturday October 11, from 10-3... but the time to collect sponsors is NOW! Look for your child's green sponsor card, along with the green registration book, in today's Friday folder. Ask friends, family and neighbors to support our school by making a pledge -- either per lap walked or a flat rate. Walk-a-thon proceeds support instructional materials; supplies and printing costs; enrichment programs like science, music and arts; and noontime clubs. Sponsor cards -- including the all-important parent signature on the back -- are due back to school on Thursday, October 6!

And don't forget to sign up to volunteer on Walk-a-thon day! Easy, fun shifts are still available before, during and after the event. Just click here!

Class Groups

The PTA has created a google group for each classroom, for communications from your room parents, and for discussions between the parents.   It is very important that at least one parent from each family is a member of the Class Group, as otherwise you will miss communications about activities in your classroom, special events at Springer, etc.

A google account is NOT required to be a member of the Class Groups, or to send/receive messages.  A google account is only required if you want to view/access the group website.  All parents have already been added to their Class Group(s).   Please check your SPAM folder(s) if you have not received any group messages.

Contact Springer.Groups[at]gmail[dot]com with any questions.

Back-To-School Order Form

The online Back-To-School Form has now closed.  But it’s not too late to make a donation or place an order!  Paper forms are available in the office.

Tax donation receipts (for those BTS orders that include a donation) will be sent out by the end of October.

Contact Donna Murphy (at jcdrm[at]yahoo[dot]com) with any questions regarding the BTS Form.

Hot Lunch Volunteers Needed

We are seeking more volunteers to join the Hot Lunch crew.   Shifts are weekly, or alternating weeks, from 11:15-12:15.  We still need help every day except Friday.

Parent volunteers receive a free lunch credit from Choice Lunch for every shift worked.

Contact Rachel Michelson <michelson [dot] rachel @ gmail [dot] com> or Donna Murphy <jcdrm @ yahoo [dot] com> for more information.

Lunchtime Activities – Funvisor Program

Springer is one of the unique elementary schools in our district that has lunchtime activities for our kids. How many of your children have come home with a lanyard with runner tokens on it, a personal poem or story written in Scribes, or an artistic design to hang on their walls from Art Club?

For years Springer has had programs open to all students at lunchtime where they enjoy being creative, learning new skills, and staying healthy. But we can’t do it with out your help.

Make an impact on the Springer children. Please consider volunteering, 1 or 2 lunches per month, or more, for either:

Art, Lego, Run4YourLife, Board Games, Garden, Scribes, Volleyball, and Yoga.

Questions or need more information, email Jenni Tellefsen at jentellefsen@gmail.com
