Principal’s Message |
Thank You For A Great Year! Before I wish everyone a great summer, I wanted to thank all of the Springer community for a tremendous year. Working together- teachers, parents, students, volunteers, support staff and more- we we’re able to give our students exceptional learning experiences throughout the year. I say this with confidence and couldn’t be more proud to be the principal of such a great school community. Congratulations to everyone for an impressive year! And a special shout out goes to our graduating 6th graders who we promoted on to the junior high in a special ceremony this morning. As a reminder, we start the new school year on August 19th. Placement letters (sent via email) will be distributed the week before school begins. If I don’t see you in person, please know that I’m very grateful for all you do for the students at Springer. Now, go have a fantastic summer. Sincerely, Wade Spenader- Principal |
PTA Committees for 2015-16 |
As we near the end of this school year, the PTA board is working to confirm Springer's committee chairs for 2015-16. Here are some of the key openings:
These committees are great opportunities to support our school, and may not be continued if we cannot find someone to lead them. Please contact Sue Longyear (sue.longyear[at]gmail.com) if you are interested in any of these positions. |
Blach Needs Hot Lunch Volunteers |
Dear 6th Grade Families, Congratulations to all of your graduating 6th graders. For those of you with children entering Blach next year that would like to help out at the school, please consider volunteering to serve lunch. This is a fun way to see the kids in action and one of the very few opportunities for volunteering at Blach. In the past, sign ups happen at the back to school coffee, but now we want to start serving lunch on the first day of school. Because of this, crews are being set up now. It is a great way to stay connected to other parents from your elementary school and also to meet new parents from the other feeder schools. Most volunteers work every other week, though some choose to work every week. The food menu rotates so the food items are different each week, except for Thursdays which is pizza day.
If interested in this great volunteering opportunity, please indicate which days work for you and how often you would like to volunteer. There is plenty of room to organize a small group that wants to work together. Please contact me at srkhuntia[at]yahoo.com if you would like to volunteer(do not forget to let me know when and how often you would like to volunteer). We cannot have a successful program without your help. Thank you so much, Sarita Khuntia |
