Book Fair |
Dear Springer Families, Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Springer Community, the Under the Sea Book Fair was a great success! We raised over $6,000 for Springer School, and most importantly, got over 2,000 books in kids’ hands and received enough contributions to donate over 110 books to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital’s School Program. We would like to take a moment to thank our amazing volunteers who gave their time, passion, and energy to help setup and run the Book Fair. And a very special thank you to all the students who previewed and reviewed books, and to the 5th and 6th graders who ran the Student Store and took the initiative to promote and encourage contributions in support of the hospital. Happy reading! |

LAEF |
LAEF: We are $145K short for 2014-15 Thank you to the 100 families who contributed to our participation matching grant last week. The first $10,000 was matched by the Chi-Lin, Fuchs, Humayun-Gauri and Von Kaenel-Cetinok families and helped to bring us $50,000 closer to our goal. LAEF presented a $2.855M check to LASD at Junior Olympics, but we are still $145,000 short to fully fund every K-8 student's enrichment this year. Please donate today or request a match from your company to pay for the programs your child has enjoyed THIS current year, including STEM, PE, art, library, music and smaller class sizes in K-3. We strive for 100% participation from our families, and it’s not too late to give. Please donate at laefonline.net or drop a check in our school’s office this week. |
