Principal's Message - October 30, 2026

Dear Springer Families,

What a fun way to end our week!  Halloween is always fun and the costumes get more and more creative every year! We had our parade this morning  - the afternoon will be filled with more fun as students enjoy their popsicle party for hitting their Walkathon goals - I will also be getting drenched by water balloons for “Pop the Principal” as their bonus reward!  Those pictures will have to be posted next week!  Thank you all for supporting such a connected and FUN community.  Students spend a lot of their time, and most of their childhood, in school - I am so very glad that we can have a little fun along the way . . . .

I wish you all a safe and fun Halloween tomorrow.  Enjoy the extra hour of sleep on Sunday to wear off that sugar crash!!

Best,
Mrs. March

BEES AWARD WINNER BANNER

Louis (2) - Ms. Guindy's Class

Louis class was recognized by Art Docent volunteer, Sarah Weitz, for our BEES award honor. Mrs. Weitz stated, "Louis was very helpful during Art Docents.  He helped classmates when they weren’t strong enough to roll their clay and helped the adults clean up.”

Thank you, Louis, for being so responsible and empathetic in the choices you make. You are all amazing and positive role models to your peers.

Bee border honeycombs and with a honey pot. The adventures of Henry and Honey.

Guindy - SECOND Grade - Honey 🍯

proud second grade students
Mrs. Guindy’s class hosted Honey this week.  They got to have Honey because they did such a great job on their field trip last week. And Honey was really interested in what they were doing.  The students were learning about maps in social studies.  They made their own maps, and many different kinds.  From old school “fold up maps” of the area to relief maps of the school.  Honey was excited to see this because she can always use a map as she flies around!

🐝 Henry - SIXTH Grade - Jones

Henry spent the week with Mrs. Jones’s class this week. Science was on the top of their mind!  They taught Henry about osmosis and how water moves through the cell of a membrane to the area with the least water to keep it balanced.  The students asked so many interesting questions when it came to the cells they were learning about.  A couple that Henry thought were particularly interesting were: “Can waste pass through the cell membrane/” and “Can cells merge together to make a new cell?”  Great inquiry happening in 6th grade!
