Principal's Message - October 8, 2026

Dear Springer Families,

As we move into October, I want to thank our families for your continued partnership and support. I especially want to share a big thank you for your help at home with our soccer games at lunch recess! We have seen such a positive change. Students are engaging in a much safer, kinder, and more respectful way, and it is wonderful to see them enjoying the game together while also taking care of one another. Your conversations and reminders at home truly make a difference!

A few important dates to keep on your calendars:

Friday, October 9 – No School
Our teachers will be participating in a Professional Development Day. This is an important opportunity for our staff to learn, collaborate, and continue growing together to best support our students.

Thursday, October 15 at 10:00 AM – The Great ShakeOut
Springer will be participating in the Great ShakeOut earthquake drill at 10:00 AM. This is a nationwide opportunity for schools and communities to practice earthquake safety procedures. Our students and staff will practice and review what to do to stay safe during an earthquake. These drills help us build confidence and make our safety routines familiar before we ever need them.

Saturday, October 17 – Springer Walkathon!
We hope you will join us for one of my favorite Springer traditions! The Walkathon is a wonderful day to come together as a community, enjoy some food, cheer on our students, and have fun with Springer families. And, of course, it is the one day a year you get to see Mrs. March in tennis shoes! 😊

I hope to see many of you there!

Thank you, as always, for your partnership, your support of our students, and for helping us create a school community where our children can learn, grow, and look out for one another.

Warmly,
Mrs. March

Bee border honeycombs and with a honey pot. The adventures of Henry and Honey.

Chen - KINDERGARTEN - Honey 🍯

Honey spent her first week with Mrs. Chen’s class!  It was so much fun.  Honey was so impressed with all the work the students already had on the walls for Kindergarten.  Even with their very emerging skills they have post-its that ask questions or use pictures to engage in their learning.  Honey can’t wait to see how they use all these new found skills as the year progresses!

🐝 Henry - FIFTH Grade - Bailey

Henry spent the week in Ms. Reede’s class this week.  He was really impressed with all the learning that was on the walls.  Henry could see all the deeper learning happening with questions, post-its, pictures and student work. These students will be ready for anything the educational world throws their way!
