Save the date for Saturday, October 17 for our annual Springer Walkathon! This is always such a fun day for our Springer community to come together, enjoy time with friends and families, grab some delicious food from the food trucks, and celebrate our amazing Stingers. And, of course, it is the one and only time each year that you will see Mrs. March wearing tennis shoes! 👟

We hope you’ll join us for this special Springer tradition!

Our Monday morning assemblies have been filled with some wonderful stories lately! Our teachers have been sharing where they are from, special family traditions, meaningful experiences, and even teaching us how to greet one another in different languages. It has been such a fun way to learn more about the people who make up our Springer community, and a beautiful reminder of how much we can learn from one another.

Now, we’d love to hear from our students, too!

If your child would like to share part of their story:  family background, a tradition, a language, a special celebration, a place that is meaningful to them, or even just a favorite family tradition or activity, we would love to hear their story during a Monday morning assembly. Parents and family members are welcome to share as well!

There is no particular format or expectation - just an opportunity to tell us something that makes your family special. If you or your child would like to share, please let me know. 

We can't wait to learn even more about all of our wonderful Stingers!

 The grade with the highest participation each month keeps the Walk or Wheel Trophy 🏆  Don’t miss out on the bragging rights!

Get ready to Reach for the Stars and Go Above and BEE-YOND! Springer’s annual Walkathon returns on Saturday, October 17 for an unforgettable day of walking, music, food trucks and community fun—all while raising important funds for our school. Student fundraising is open now through October 18, and we need more than 100 amazing volunteers to bring the day to life. Create your fundraising page and sign up to volunteer here!

We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate this fun Springer tradition.  What are the tasks?  Printing punch cards, closing the parking lot, sending reminders to trunk hosts, playing music, handing out punch cards, etc.  Easy stuff but it all has to be done!   If you’re interested in learning more about how you can help, please email events-team@springerpta.org!  We can’t host the event without at least 2 more volunteers to help!  

Join the Los Altos Educational Foundation (LAEF) board members, principals, and parents from every school, and LASD leadership for a night of texting and calling to raise funds for specialized teachers, essential programs, and materials to benefit every TK-8th grade student this school year.
