A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our Multicultural Fair last Friday such a wonderful celebration of our Springer community! We are so grateful for all of the countries and cultures represented, and for the delicious foods, beautiful clothing, amazing crafts, and wonderful stories that were shared.

What made the evening especially meaningful was seeing our families come together to share a piece of who they are and to learn from one another. These connections are what make Springer such a special community, and we are so fortunate to have such a rich tapestry of cultures and traditions represented in our school.

I would love to include every photo from the evening, but we would need a whole website just for that! 😊 Instead, please enjoy a glimpse of the many beautiful connections that made the evening so memorable.

Jia was recognized by fellow sixth grader Julia for our peer BEES award honor. Julia stated, "She picked up A LOT of trash at the lunch tables.”   

Thank you, Jia, for being so responsible in the choices you make to support our Springer Community. You are an amazing Stinger and a great role model to your peers. 

Halloween is just around the corner. If you have any old costumes that you don't need, please bring them to the office and place them in the giant "SWAP" box. You can also include jigsaw puzzles and board games. Items can be for any age and should be in good condition and in complete sets.

Henry had a great week in Mr. Ramirez class.  He really enjoyed doing their morning meeting together and brainstorming with the kids what is happening with the patterns in Number Corner. It is so nice to get to know each of these students on such a great personal level, and watching them collaborate like this shows how important those morning meetings are to make connections with one another for greater collaborative success during their lessons.

Ms. TG’s TK class earned Honey this week and she was truly treated like the Queen Bee she is!  The students cared for her in their Veterinary Office, they nursed her to health, and read to her in “Bee School.”  Honey never really noticed how much these students learn through play, but this week was so clear.  By playing with her, she learned how to read in a book from left to right, she learned to care and have compassion and empathy, and she learned that the community around you is very special.  Yes, this was a great week!  Thank you Ms. TGs class . . . . Honey can’t wait to come back.
