For those of you who are new to the Hive, my name is Sarah March and I am the proud principal of Springer. For our returning families - I am so excited to have your children back and feel the “buzz” of energy return to our campus! I just know this is going to be an incredible year!
I hope you all have had a pleasant and relaxing summer. The first day of school is right around the corner and we are excited to greet old friends and make new ones! The
2026-2027 school year will be fantastic as we support our Stingers to
Be responsible,
Empathetic,
Educated and
Safe! Below please find pertinent information to help ensure a smooth start to our year.
Back to School Schedule:
- School begins each day at 8:30 am for grades Kindergarten-6th; 8:45 for Transitional Kindergarten. Please wait to be on campus until 8:15 am as there is no supervision before that time. A bell will ring at 8:27 am signaling to line up on your classroom line in the quad. All students should be in line, ready for the day to start, when the 8:30 am bell rings.
- The school day schedule is linked here: Springer School Schedule. Please note that on Thursdays our students will be dismissed earlier than on Monday-Wednesday and Fridays.
-
TK & Kinder: Transitional Kindergarten will be dismissed daily at 12:15 until September 4th. Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 12:00 until August 28th. The first full day for Kinder will be Monday, August 31. TK will begin their first full day on Tuesday, September 8th.
Message from Springer PTA:
PTA will host our annual Pop ‘n Stop on Monday, August 10th at 5:30-7pm. You will get to see the complete class list, learn more about how to support Springer, talk to a few of our after school enrichment programs, and enjoy a popsicle! Bring a picnic dinner to stay and play! This year, there will be a pop up for families to have their household knives, scissors, and gardening tools sharpened. Stone’s Touch Sharpening will be servicing ALL our classroom scissors and cutting tools for FREE so, we hope you’ll support them!
A reminder that as you consider your school donations this year, we encourage families to prioritize giving to the Los Altos Educational Foundation (LAEF). While LAEF has long funded teachers, staff, and essential programs across LASD, it is now also responsible for fundraising for many instructional programs and materials previously funded by school PTAs. This expanded role makes LAEF the primary way families support the instructional experiences that go beyond what public funding can provide. Start here:

After you wave goodbye on the first day of school, please join us in the Springer Multi for a Parent Coffee after drop off.
