Frequently Asked Questions about the Springer Auction

What is the Springer Auction?

The Springer Auction Party is our largest and most awesome "adult-only" fundraising and community building event of the year! This event is designed to bring together the Springer parents and community members for an evening of laughs, delicious food/drinks and dancing late into the night!

All this, while raising money for the school, to boot!!

The proceeds from the auction is used to help provide library and literature books, math, science, social studies, art and music programs, computers, technological materials and playground equipment. To make this event a success and provide these "extras" for Springer students, we need YOU to....ATTEND! VOLUNTEER! DONATE!

What happens during the event itself?

Guests arrive at the venue, check in and receive a bidder number. They will then use that number to bid on items that have been generously donated from businesses, Springer families, our children's classrooms, Springer teachers and staff and perhaps even YOU! The items, along with their bid sheets, will be located on tables in the event space. At this point, you have the opportunity to:

  • Write your bid and bidder number on the bid sheets of the items that interests you. Check back as  often as you may need to outbid someone else! The highest bidder on each item will receive the  item!

  • Sign up for our extraordinary parties!! These charge a flat rate but may be limited in space so sign up early! Don't miss your (or your children's) chance to attend these incredibly FUN parties!!

  • Participate in the Live Auction fun! Bring your bidder number and your game face!

  • Continue to party with your friends!

  • At the end of the evening, if you've won an auction item, go to the pickup table to retrieve your prize. If you've signed up for a party, the host(s) will contact you with further details.

Auction Guidelines

Auction Items

Generous parents and community members have donated the event auctions' items. We have attempted to catalog and describe the items correctly. We apologize for any errors, changes, or omissions. All items are sold “as is.” Please note: by offering an item for auction, the auction committee makes no endorsement or recommendation of the business or item.

Restrictions

Both parties must mutually agree upon all dates and services or events in advance. Some items have an expiration date. The item or items you purchase as the successful bidder are not warranted or guaranteed. If you bid on an event with a specified date, there will be no refunds if you do not attend the event. Additionally, the event bid is not transferable.

Exclusivity

Some items and events are available for Springer Community members and students only.

Payment and Receipt

Payment for all auction items must be made in full. Visa or MasterCard payments will be accepted. Checks will be accepted at the time of pick up. All sales are final; no exchanges or refunds are possible. All items will be available for pick up at the school the week following the auction and in some cases will be mailed to you. Specific dates and instructions will be emailed to successful bidders. Please see special note in the item details for exceptions.
