Sept 3, 2014 at 8:45am	Agenda PTA Goals ppt presentation	Welcome back to Springer! Please join us for our first PTA Association Meeting on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, 8:45 am-10:10 am in the Teachers' Staff Room. In this first meeting of the school year, we will be discussing our 2013-2014 Program & Goals and hold a vote to approve the 2014-2015 PTA Budget. We will also take a look at and approve the financials of the last few months since the PTA meeting in May. Hope to see you there!
Sept 9, 2014 (Tuesday) at 7:00pm	Agenda	This is a special meeting. Please join us for this special PTA meeting on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 7 pm in the Teachers' Staff Room. The meeting was called to discuss and vote on a supplemental budget request in support of the LASD bond measure (Measure N). This is your chance to participate in an information session about the bond measure and to hear directly from LASD Superintendent Jeff Baier about the latest district planning. Representatives from LAEF and KLASS will also be present to answer your questions.
Oct 1, 2014 at 7:00pm	Agenda	All about Growth Mindset Please join us for the October PTA meeting on Wednesday, October 1st, at 7 pm in the Teachers' Lounge. Mr. Spenader will introduce us to "It's A Springer Thing" and "Growth Mindset" (you may have heard about it from your kids...). Our guest speaker, Mrs. Melissa Kelley from the Community Health Awareness Council, will tell as more about Growth Mindset in her talk "How to Let Children Fail 'Successfully': The Parent Challenge for a Growth Mindset".
Nov 5, 2014 at 8:45am	Agenda	Springer CSTEM Program Please join us for the November PTA meeting on Wednesday, November 5th, at 8:45 am in the Teachers' Lounge. Springer LAEF representative and LAEF co-president Susan Longyear will talk to us about LAEF programs and goals for the 2014/15 school year. Our guest speaker this month is Ms. Joanie Craddock, Springer's CSTEM (Computer, Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) teacher. She will present an overview of the CSTEM program and will talk about the new and exciting programs that are being offered this year.

Feb 5, 2015 at 7:00pm	Agenda	Early Childhood Reading Please join us for the February PTA meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 4th, at 7:00 pm in the Teachers' Lounge. We will present the candidates for the 2015 Nominating Committee for endorsement by the members. We will also give the mid-year update on the PTA budget and ask for approval of a number of small budget updates. Our guest speaker this month is Mrs. Goldner, who will give a talk about early childhood reading and how to support reading at home.

April 1, 2015 at 7:00pm	Agenda	PTA Executive Board Elections Please join us for the April PTA meeting on Wednesday, April 1st, at 7:00 pm in the Teachers' Lounge. We will be voting for the 2015-2016 PTA Executive Board. We have several unfilled positions, so last-minute nominations from the audience are welcome. We will also have an open session to talk about how we can improve PTA
May 6, 2015 at 8:45am	Agenda	All About (Saving) Water Please join us for the May PTA meeting on Wednesday, May 6th, at 8:45 am in the Teachers' Lounge. We will be discussing and voting on the summer budget. A guest speaker from the Santa Clara Water District will talk to us about the historical drought we are in and give suggestions on how you can help conserve water.
