Picking the right Cat/kitten
Pick a longhaired cat if you want more grooming. Pick a short-haired cat for easy grooming. At the shelter, a cat that meows for attention has a playful personality whereas a cat that simply gazes at you has an air of superiority. Kittens are full of energy and take more time to train or feed whereas cats are less mischievous. Get a neutered or sprayed cat.
Taking care of the cat/kitten
Cat/kitten should be introduced to litter box as soon as possible. Bathe cat once a month. You should clean the litter box or bacteria might grow inside it. Clean the litter box at least every week. Feed your cat three times every day. In the morning, the afternoon, and at night. You could feed your cat cat food from the store or bits of raw meat if you happen to be having them for dinner. Give them water or milk to drink.
